Kundalini Yoga for Stress Relief (July 21) offers students the chance to experience Kundalini Yoga as a way to release stress from the body and mind, and to learn new tools--both physical exercises and meditations--for calming the nervous system and finding a sense of peace. The workshop will offer Kundalini yoga practices appropriate for dealing with all kinds of stressful situations and relationships. We will move the body through a warm-up series with basic stretches and light movement, followed by a Kundalini practice with a specific energetic focus on releasing stress and frustration while calming the nervous system and the mind. Students will leave the workshop with new tools to take home which can be utilized in any setting to calm stress, including practices that can be done at work or school, while parenting, or while trying to relax or fall asleep. Kundalini Yoga is very different than other types of yoga, does not emphasize traditional postures, and offers many types of modifications; therefore students of all levels are encouraged to attend.
Kundalini Yoga for Healing Heartache (July 28) offers students the chance to experience Kundalini Yoga as a way to navigate any kind of grief, sadness, or heartache and to learn new tools--both physical exercises and meditations--for healing. The workshop will cover Kundalini philosophy as method for moving through painful emotions in order to spur healing. We will move the body through a warm-up series with basic stretches and light movement, followed by a kriya (a series of exercises done in a specific sequence, typically in a repetitive fashion, with a focus on breathing while building strength and cultivating energy to allow healing to occur) with a specific energetic focus on healing grief. The workshop will also offer new methods to meditate through heartache. Kundalini Yoga is very different than other types of yoga, does not emphasize traditional postures, and offers many types of modifications; therefore students of all levels are encouraged to attend.
Kundalini Yoga for Releasing Negativity and Fear (August 4) offers students the chance to experience Kundalini Yoga as a way to cultivate a new awareness of how negative thoughts and fearful emotions impact our health and wellbeing; we will utilize that awareness to release negativity and fear and to make space for gratitude. We will learn new tools--both physical exercises and meditations--to release negative and fear-based thought patterns and welcome in a sense of gratitude and peace. The workshop will cover Kundalini philosophy as a method for moving through negativity and fear with compassion for ourselves and others, while also cultivating a new awareness of gratitude and appreciation. We will move the body through a warm-up series with basic stretches and light movement, followed by a kriya (a series of exercises done in a specific sequence, typically in a repetitive fashion, with a focus on breathing while building strength and cultivating energy to allow healing to occur) with a specific energetic focus on releasing fear from our bodies and thoughts. The workshop will also offer new methods to meditate through negative and fearful thoughts.
