Lobbyist by day, Kundalini Yogi by night.
Julia first discovered yoga in 2000, but it wasn’t until many years later when personal loss left her searching for a meditative way through grief that she discovered Kundalini Yoga. Julia quickly fell in love with Kundalini because of its ability to strengthen the body while calming the mind and connecting to the heart. Julia especially appreciates the opportunity to bring Kundalini to those completely new the practice and to those living and working in the DC metro area. She offers Kundalini Yoga as an experience within which students learn to utilize the breath and specific postures in order to build strength while connecting to the inner self and shifting energy of the body. Julia also focuses her teaching on short, concentrated meditations which are especially good for those like herself who find traditional methods of meditation challenging.
Julia completed her training in 2017 at Golden Bridge Yoga in New York City and is a KRI-certified teacher in Kundalini Yoga as well as holds a 200-hour certification. Julia works as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. and teaches yoga in D.C., Takoma Park, and Silver Spring. She is a mom to her eight-year old son, Von.
